Mixed Touch Grand Finals - 29th February 2012

Please Note:

The GTA committee after consultation with the GCC Parks & Gardens department on the current condition of Ted Scobie Oval touch fields have decided to postpone all Grand Final games scheduled for this evening.

Mixed Touch Grand Finals set down for Wednesday 29th February 2012 have been postponed until Monday 5th March 2012 due to the current non stop rain and continuing inclement weather conditions.

Scheduled Grand Final games for Monday 5th March 2012 with be as per previously advertised time slots on both the GTA websites and Area News.

The current weather conditions are outside GTA's control and the GTA apologises for any inconvenience that the rescheduling and change may cause.

The GTA has also posted a message on the Infoline number.

The ball is rolled and there a half is in position. When can the defence move forward?

 

DECISION

Provided they were onside at the Rollball the defending players can move forward as soon as the ball has made contact with the half. - Rule 9.4

Knockout Nomination Forms for both Cootamundra Unisex Touch Carnival and Yass Valley Touch Knockout are now available from Tournaments menu.

Cootamundra Unisex Touch Carnival is to be held Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th January 2012

Yass Valley Touch Knockout is to be held Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th January 2012

2012 Cootamundra Unisex Touch Carnival

Attached is information for the Cootamundra Unisex Touch Carnival.
2012 Cootamundra Touch Carnival will be conducted on Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th January 2012.

Nominations will close on the 31st December 2011
Team nomination fee will be $220.00.
Teams will be required to supply a duty Referee once or twice on the Saturday and maybe once on Sunday.

2012 Yass Valley Touch Knockout

Attached is information for the Yass K.O.
2012 Yass K.O will be conducted on Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th January 2012.

Nominations will close on the 13th January 2012
Team nomination fee will be $250.00.
A Referee must be nominated for each team entered at the Yass K.O.

A follow-up Level 1 Referees Course (Theory Component) as a result of school holidays will be held at 3 Colpitts Place (Frank's residence) on Saturday 8th October 2011 for the GTA 2011/12 touch competitions, commencing at 1:00pm and finishing at 6:00pm (approx). This course will be for those teams that require a badged referee to fulfill their requirement for nomination / registration in the GTA Open Summer, Junior & Mixed Competitions.

Those persons that are required or would like to attend a Level 1 Referees Course please leave your name and details with either of the following GTA contacts:-

Coaches are still required for some age divisions

Griffith Touch Assoc. Inc. AGM will be held on Wednesday 28th September 2011 at Northside Leagues Club at 6:30pm

All notices of motion to be in the hands of the administrator four (4) weeks prior

One Delegate from each team (dual representation not allowed) in all competitions to attend to receive five (5) bonus competition points (NB: Not applicable to Junior teams, Kindy - Year 3)
